ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The Institute offers Master's and Post Graduate Diploma courses & Bachelor's and Under Graduate Diploma courses.

 Eligibility requirements for certificate courses vary and are specified in course brochure. The medium of instruction is English and candidates seeking admission are expected to have English as a compulsory subject at least upto XII'.

 Eligibility & Enrolment procedures are on-line by the Institute once the admitted student submits all required documents.

 GUIDELINES TO ALL STUDENTS SEEKING ADMISSION TO VARIOUS UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE COURSES CONDUCTED BY GICED

 

INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS.

 Note: Candidates are requested to read and follow the information carefully

 The students should apply for the courses online with a fee payment of re. 400/- for Under Graduate Diploma/ Bachelors courses and Rs.500/- for Post Graduate Diploma/Masters courses. Collect your Admission card for Entrance Test & Interview from cash counter with receipt of admission fee. The candidate should bring this card when coming for Entrance Test & Interview.

 Students awaiting results of Graduate degree examination can also apply for submission of admission form provided proof for appearing in final examination (Hall Ticket) is submitted.

 The entrance test and interview of such candidate will be conducted. However, fees for admission will be accepted subject to submission of graduation mark sheet in the given time schedule only (seats will not be reserved in any case).

 

It is mandatory for all the students to have 75% attendance, failing which the students will not be allowed to appear for the semester examination.

 The student will be qualified for admission to the Diploma Course only after passing the entrance test and securing the required marks/grades in the interview.

 The Candidates have to appear for Entrance Test & Interview producing their l-Card, a Time Table for which will be put up on Notice Board and website (www.gicededu.co.in). A Candidate who fails to appear for the test and the Interview will be marked absent & disqualified. A Merit list of selected candidates is put up from time to time. Candidates should complete admission process &pay fees before the date & time stipulated in the selection list. Waiting list is put up after the completion of main list. Candidates should keep track of website for this. A Candidate not turning up and does not take up admission by last date will forfeit his chance of admission.

 The following original as well as self-attested photo copies of documents should be bought along for verification to complete the admission process:

 For Under-Graduate Course

(a)  Mark Sheet of SSC & Leaving Certificate and HSC & Passing Certificate. (CBSE Board students require to submit their Admit Card as well)

(b)  Students who have completed three years’ diploma (after SSC) should obtain a HSC equivalent certificate.

(c)  Aadhar Card

(d)  Caste Certificate (For reserved category students only)

 For Post-Graduate Course

(a)  S.S.C. Mark sheet & Passing Certificate

(b) H.S.C. Mark sheet & Passing Certificate

(c)  School Leaving Certificate,

(d) FY,SY,TY Mark sheets

(e) Migration Certificate (Only for Students other than Maharashtra Board & Technical Board),

(f)   Experience Certificate if Required,

(g) Gap Certificate if required,

(h) Bonafide OR T.C. required from students of a College Pursuing Degree in Mumbai University and are applying for admission to any of the courses,

(i)   Passport size photograph.

(j)   Aadhar Card

 

After successful verification of the documents, an Unique ID number is given to the students using which the students can pay the fees.

All Courses will be conducted subject to availability of at least 15 students securing admission for the same, failing which the Institute can decide to not run the course for that particular academic year.


GUIDELINES TO RESERVED CATEGORY STUDENTS (SC, ST, DT, NT, SBC, OBC)

Reservation of seats for reserved category for admission is available as per University norms. Candidates have to supply complete and correct documents to avail of these. Reservation of seats may change with government of Maharashtra orders.

Presently it is as below: SC 13%, ST 7%, DTA 3%, NTB 2.5%, NTC 3.5%, NTD 2%, SBC 2%, EBC 10%, OBC 19%. Women reservation 30%. 3% for: Wards of (a) Central /State Govt. Employee's (transfer cases) / (b) Defense personnel / (c) Freedom Fighter, Widow / Divorcee female, Physically /Visually challenged, Outstanding performance in Sports & Cultural Activities (national/state level)

 ST Category students should apply for GOI Scholarship / Free ship in the prescribed form with all documents in original (only full time PG & UG Courses). The students have to apply Online on the website https://mahadbtmahait.gov.in/login/login

Students should note that all the above documents should be produced at the time of Admission otherwise they will have to pay full fees and are not eligible for free ship or scholarship as the case may be.

 Students seeking GOI scholarship only, will be paid their maintenance in their bank account, to be opened in The Corporation Bank, Kalina Branch as per Social Welfare Department guidance.
