With the growing size & number of hospitals, the management of hospitals is becoming a specialized and complex job. In order to provide competent administrators/ executives and managers for the management of hospital, the need for having a professional training programme has been felt since long. There is a constant increase in the number of hospitals to cater to the needs of an ever increasing population in the country. The Management of the hospital administration is receiving an utmost priority to provide better health services and maintain a quality in the health services and/or health care programmes. There is a need for management to develop policies, plans and programmes to cater to health services and run the hospitals’ administration in a better manner. For this purpose the hospital administrators / executives and concerned administrative staff of the hospitals should acquire a professional training in this field.
